North West Stage School (NWSS)

The Stage School was formed to enable young people to receive professional training for the performance arts, as a basis to entry into the industry, further development at drama school, university, school, college or as a hobby.

Classes are held every Sunday from 10.00 am - 1.00 pm. Members of the Stage School are encouraged to audition for roles in in-house productions, which act as further development in their live performance skills.

Rehearsals are each Sunday 2.00 pm – 8.00 pm and Thursday 6.00 pm – 9.00pm. Rehearsal calls are specific to the characters required and it is unlikely that company members will be required to attend all rehearsals.

The structure of the Stage School follows the academic year; classes run from September to July with breaks for Christmas, Easter and summer. Each term is split between the disciplines of acting, singing and dance. It has always been NWTAC’s intention that the Stage School should be inclusive, rather than exclusive. To achieve this, NWTAC work hard to maintain the fees at a very low level. We also make payment plans available to spread the cost.

For information about the Stage School fees please contact us on 0161 207 1617 or admin@northwesttheatreartscompany.co.uk

Classes and rehearsals take place at: NWTAC Theatre, 270a Lightbowne Road, Manchester, M40 5HQ.
